So… today’s show was all about mistakes… dating mistakes and mistakes at work. But before we get to that, you’ll probably want to know what’s going on in the picture above.
That’s Andreas Muller. Andreas wanted a Mini Cooper. A lot. So, he entered a competition on the RTL 89.0 Morning Show (doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as Beat Breakfast), to see which listener could pull off the craziest stunt. Andreas allowed a tattoo artist to put the Mini logo on his manhood. Lucky for him it’s a car model with a short name. Imagine the pain of Volkswagen?
We discussed the ongoing controversy surrounding alleged comments by Sky Sports presenters Andy Gray and Richard Keys about a female referee. Most Beat Breakfast listeners felt it’s all gone a bit far at this stage. So, we asked people about the biggest mistake they’ve ever made at work. We got some very funny stories, and you can read some of them over on the Beat Facebook page.
We continued with our mistakes theme by discussing an article on TheFrisky.com where one writer lists 40 Dating Mistakes I’ll Never Make Again. Beat Breakfast listeners weren’t shy about sharing their dating mistakes… including many stories of fleeing from dates in horror.

It’s not Christmas but we were talking about the all-year-round Scrooges on this morning’s show. Mean? Or just frugal? Where’s the line? I think the line has been crossed many times by people in the report from Reader’s Digest. Charging relatives when they stay over? Counting sheets of toilet paper? Crazy! Could we be about to see this kind of picture on the big screen at Croke Park? The GAA is trying out Hawk Eye at the stadium. The technology helps officials decide whether a ball has crossed the line and so on. After the Italian Job was named best British movie, we wondered what you guys think is the top Irish movie. We got TONNES if texts and suggestions. One of them was The General, which was about the notorious Dublin criminal Martin Cahill. From that, Liam told us the story of his mate who fancied himself as a joker when he came acros the guards. According to a new survey, tattoos are the biggest turn-off for guys. Women say beards are the top no-no in men. Guess who has lots of tattoos. Yep, Megan Fox. (Any excuse to publish a pic!) Not sexy? Hmmm…
