  Our visit to Enniscorthy castle with the Wexford paranormal society left us shaken and we had a lot of audio recorded to report our findings. There was even a moment we got the fright of our lives but might I add that it wasn’t caused by anything paranormal. I suppose you could say we freaked ourselves out, listen here!

  In the Daily dilemma we asked ourselves one question, is it possible to stay friendly with someone after crossing into the forbidden zone?   What is it that REAL men never do? We got some really funny completions to this one after Vinny asked listeners to finish the sentence! I think the funniest one of the morning has been “Real me don’t…wear skinny jeans” and Vinny chimed in with this gem “only if your busy winning NME awards” haha! Here’s more

  The above picture says it all, it is exactly why real men shouldn’t attempt the skinnies! Seeing is considered an important sense and we would like to keep our vision for awhile!

• A doggy-Mess!

  If you have ever stumbled upon a celebrity and have either made a show of yourself or handled it reasonably well,Vinny wanted to know. If you’re wondering what that face above is about,it’s what I imagine our texters looked like when they realised they were talking to someone who they usually see on tele or a big stage!   The weekend is over and the sunglasses are still out because this weather is nothing short of amazing! Who needs Spain right now when Ireland is having THE best weather of the year.Finally we can get out the flipflops!

  Weather good or bad (bo-dum-bum-deesh,I should be a comedian) we still have dilemmas and Vinny and Mary tackled what I call a doggy-mess. • “How did I get it so wrong??”

  What do you do if you hear a “violent disruption”  in your neighbours house, you ring the guards in a panic of course!Now try and think of how you would explain yourself after finding out it actually was your neighbour using the toilet, DOH! Misreading situations are a rarity,but when they do happen the shame you endure after can be worse than the emotion you felt before it all unfolded.

  Niall asked for some of your moments and we got this little gem, I call it panic mode. I bet your trying remember your awkward moment now!

• Movie gadgets

  This morning Niall, Mary and Vinny talked about those fictional items from movies that you wish you could have in real life.

  I have to say my favourite has to be the Mary Poppins bag. Yeah it would be a bit of a nightmare to bring the thing everywhere but if it means that I could pull out a hot  spa where ever I wanted then I could handle walking around with a bag that looks like my granny’s curtains!   I don’t know how I would feel about the Men In Black memory eraser pen, I could see me going mad with that one! I’m picturing myself running around zaping away for fun,that could be dangerous, one quote comes to mind “With great power, comes great responsibilities”

  It’s hard to end a relationship that you feel isn’t going anywhere but in this case i think it’s the right thing to do. Do you carry on living a lie or  do you take the plunge and possibly find something better (not the ex). • R.I.P Gibbs

  Robin Gibbs from the Bee Gees has sadly passed away leaving thousand of Bee Gee fans across the world over mourning his death. So of course Niall had to ask who are some of the more iconic personalities that you grew up with and how far did your obsession go?

  We had caller Carrie tell us about her love for New Kids On The Block listen here.

  On the Daily dilemma side of things “Our listener is still hung up on her ex and is going travelling for a couple of months but she’s going out with someone else for the last 3 and a half years! • Communion Time

  It’s Communion season and all the kids are running around with pockets full of cash. Back in the day getting a £20 note was heaven, you would think you’re rich! Nowadays we’re hearing of kids raking in thousands. How times have change!

• So near yet so far

  Ever been so close yet so far? Imagine  you’re at the last leg of the competition of a lifetime and you think you have it in the bag, then quicker than you could spell winner,the rug was unforgivably pulled from beneath you! Vinny and one of  the Beat Breakfast callers had similar mishaps  that were shared with the south East. Oh how I felt her pain!

  In these cases the ‘ole brush yourself and try again motto is incredibly difficult, I would certainly  not be in the humour to think positively!

• Lost and Found

  This morning the Beat Breakfast crew were talking about the stuff you might have lost but have turned up at a later stage.

  I had this conversation with a friend a few months ago and the joy and elation we feel when we find it even if it is something relatively small. Feeling like it’s the 25th of December all over again.

  Niall lost a kitten and Jeri lost a number listen here to some of the lost and found tales of the South East

  So on to the daily dilemma and our emailer was sick of friends going on and o about her boyfriend being “whipped”. The Beat Breakfast Podcast has all the details and of course I will be putting up all the reactions we have gotten tomorrow.

  In the mean while have a little think about how you would solve this dilemma!

• Adverts spice things up

  On this mornings show Niall,Mary and Vinny talked about Favourite TV adverts. I think one of the main ‘favourited’ advert is the Lyons tea ad where the tag line is They ‘put the talk in tea’.

  Personally that is one of my all time favourites as well and the tag line is a really clever addition. The Old Spice advert is also a pretty good! It shows the power of advertising because before that Old spice suffered a slump in sales and then after the old spice man came out with his spiced up take on things, they were back on top! The set changes and his straight faced composure sells the whole concept.

  I always wonder about the minds behind the ads especially when I see a really clever idea!

  Beat 102103 are giving a football fan the opportunity to head to the Ireland vs Italy match in Poland for the Euro 2012! So listen all this week if you want to be in with a chance of winning.
