  • Cat Problems and Choccy faves

This mornings show was like a goodie bag, full of all sorts!

Niall and Mary talked about all those choccy faves we have and we got a marathon of facebook updates about all the bars that are the bestest in the whole world!

Of course chocolate is subject,as we all fancy something different. Personally I love nuts,so Snickers/Galaxy Hazelnut/Reese’s Peanut butter cups and Cadbury Nuts or Golden crisp would suit me just fine!

As for these listeners, their tastes were as varied as they come!

On to the other issue of the morning Mary’s Cat has a greedy visitor she can’t get rid of listen here to the Cat that got all the cream!

  • Wash Out

What’s the biggest ‘washout’ you’ve experience?

I think anyone who is a Glastonbury festival fan and has gone every year will probably remember what it was like in 2009 when the heavens opened and the camp-sites looked like a scene out of  The Perfect Storm!

Similarly Oxegen would have been the same in past years, but we’re not just talking about festivals we’re including holidays, night-outs and even birthdays parties, any occasion that might have been subject to a complete washout!

Listen here to Orla and Mary telling you about their washout experience!

Time now for you to have a think about what your experience was and was there a silver lining??

    Lots more tomorrow

  • What’s the best County?

What’s the  best County in Ireland or better yet the South East?? It’s a tough one and we should have known it would kick off  WW III when we asked.

Everyone took to their phones and got behind their county. I don’t think any one county won the overall title instead we had Waterford, Carlow,Kilkenny and Cork in the running. Just take your  pick because they’re all lovely places in my eyes!

  • Crying my heart out

This morning Orla and Mary were asking you to dig deep and own up to the moments you cried like a baby at the tele or even at the cinema. Think of this lovely image, snot running down your face beside a first date or puffy eyes and quivering lips  during the scene your favourite character died took their last breath in your favourite soap. Yes, you knew it wasn’t real life but tell that to your emotions!

I think Titanic took the trophy for most tears shed in an experience but we also got few match losses,The Notebook, Marley and Me. A texter took his first date to see The Lion King in 3D and broke down and wept like a baby.

Lots more tomorrow folks so tune in

  • Who’s got the bigger brain?

The big question on the Breakfast show this morning was who’s the smarter sex?Niall wanted to know some of those not so smart moments we have. I’m sure we’re all guilty of saying a few unforgivables butshouldn’t men say less of those things since they have the bigger brain??Hhmmm!

Here is a little clip of the show if you missed it, i’m sure it will have you laughing like as well.

If you didn’t catch the daily dilemma as always I have the link right here for you on the Beat Breakfast Dilemma Podcast. Why is it so hard to be single in this day and age, whatever happened to independent single women eh?

  • Where did I leave it?

There are always stores in the press about mothers forgetting their babies etc. I would assume it’s because there’s so much on their minds, that sometimes these things happen. Other times it could be because it’s the first child and they still haven’t gotten into the habit yet!

Niall asked for some of those stories to prove just how common it really is! Here is a clip of one of our listeners telling us about her forgetful moments!

I think I have a pretty good long term memory  but not such a good short term one and even though I haven’t forgotten a kid, there has been plenty of other things that has been left in one place or the other.

If you missed the dilemma here is a catch-up on the Beat Breakfast Podcast. If you have seen a bad situation before it happened and felt oh so helpless at trying to prevent it then you could sympathise with this husband nightmare!

  • Little white lies

This morning Vinny and Mary were asking you to spill the beans on all those little white lies  that you or some of your friends tell on Facebook!

Do you photoshop your photos or do you brag about ALL the things you’re doing when you’re actually sitting at home in your PJs eating a large tub of Ben And Jerry’s? Listen here

So you see you are not alone and here is how I view these things if it wasn’t happening on Facebook it would be happening face-to-face we all do it! Isn’t human nature to want the world to view us in what see as the best possible way?Nobody is perfect, even though you can claim to be.

Exams have started all around the country and we know that their are a lot of anxious minds, but not to worry it will be over before ye know it. So don’t stress yourselves out too much ,you’ll be fine! Good Luck from everyone here at BEAT 102103!

  • It’s passed its Sell-By Date

This morning Niall and Vinny talked about things that are pass their sell by date, this was all because its been reported that RTE are going  to be dishing out a lot of money to update there Aertel service! Some of us didn’t even know what that was (it’s that teletext thingymajig)

Some people are asking why spend all that cash and others are saying its a necessary service. Some of the things people wanted to get rid of were the yellow pages (which personally i still think we need for the little things) and  newspapers (is it just me or is the whole world going digital)…

What do you think we could do with getting rid of?
