Our Feel Good Friday Fairy loves to keep the good vibes flowing.

On week one, we entertained Ethan, a boy with congenital pseudarthrosis, while last week saw us pay for peoples’ shopping across the South East.

This Friday is dedicated to the family members who put a smile on the faces of those around them.

Earlier on in the week, we asked you to write to us about the supergran in your life…

And while every reply touched our hearts, today we are looking after one very special grandad…

Introducing Joe Smith from Tramore, the grandad of eight-year-old Olivia Allen who wrote us a beautiful letter during the week…

“I would like to spend this Feel Good Friday with my super Grandad doing Christmas decoration shopping. My grandad is very special to me he spoils me every day. He collects my brother & I from school and comes to watch me dancing at my feis – even if he has a long drive to get there.

My grandparents foster children, but they always have time for us. He loves Christmas and decorates his house every year. He moved home this year so I would love to give him new decorations for his house. I love him so much and he deserves a treat.”

Just before our Feel Good Friday fairy, Shonagh, left for Tramore, the Beat Breakfast crew caught up with her. Here’s what happened…

Despite catching her wings in the front door, Sho managed to grab a seat at Joe’s daughter’s kitchen table where she provided a touching background into today’s Feel Good Friday hero…

Enter the hero of the day, Joe, who suspected absolutely nothing while our Feel Good Fairy chatted to him about his amazing grandaughter…

So, we had dodged the elephant in the room for long enough – the time had arrvied to reveal that the this week’s Feel Good Friday would in fact be dedicated to Joe! His reaction was only priceless…

With Joe still reeling from our Feel Good Friday surprise, we popped over to Woodies DIY for some Christmas retails therapy!

Now, how could the Feel Good Fairy top that? By visiting Winterval Winterval, of course!

This year, Feel Good Friday is sponsored by Winterval, Ireland’s Christmas Capital.
