Run and Walk for Life 2017: Alice's Blog | One Week to Go

This is it!

We're on the home stretch with only a few days to go until the run so I'm going to keep it short & sweet. Let’s hope ‘short & sweet’ isn’t how my running career will pan out this Sunday!

I visited my parents over the weekend and we chatted about the upcoming Run for Life. I said, “Dad, I have to run ten miles - that’s 16 kilometres!! Can you imagine?”

Without skipping a beat he replied, “Ten miles? You’ll never do that!” Only to follow it with a roaring belly laugh.

Thanks Dad, now I’m definitely going to do it (out of pure stubbornness)!

If you see the orange brigade out running and walking on Sunday, October 8th (don’t worry, you’ll spot my red head a mile away), give us a shout, a woohoo, whatever you fancy.

Why? Because most out there will be thinking of someone dear to them that’s been affected by cancer and they will appreciate a bit of support along the route.

See you at the start line where I’ll be doing my crouching tiger, hidden dragon stretches before the big run.
