BBC drama Redwater may return to Dunmore East in Waterford, according to star Shane Richie.
The EastEnders spin-off aired on BBC and RTE earlier this year and was met with a mixed reaction from viewers.
Speaking on ITV's This Morning, Shane suggested the show could continue, despite the fact the leading characters appeared to have been killed off in the final episode of the first series.
Shane said “We did the very last episode, and ended with Alfie flat-lining on a gurney while Kat’s on a beach face-down in her own blood.
“By all intents and purposes, it’s thought they were dead. Then they said it wasn’t coming back but I keep hearing it might … not necessarily with Kat and Alfie.”
