New Top Gear Team Revealed

The full line-up for the new series of Top Gear has been revealed.

Following the earlier announcement that Friends star Matt LeBlanc would join Chris Evans and The Stig, the four other members of the team are now official.

They are racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris, former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan and motoring journalist Rory Reid.

Sabine Schmitz will be familiar to Top Gear viewers after previous appearances including a lap of the old Nurburgring in a Transit van.

Chris Harris is one of the most well known YouTube motoring stars and said of his role “Top Gear is the thing that helped shape my life with cars, my perception of cars and my obsession with cars, and I’m raring to give it a go. I’m also quite gobby and happy to get into trouble. And if it all goes wrong, well, I can say I was once on Top Gear, and just head back to being that annoying small bloke off YouTube.”

Eddie Jordan will be known to many as the owner of Ireland's only Formula 1 team which he sold in 2005. He has most recently been an F1 pundit on BBC.

Rory Reid joins the team having gone through the open auditions for the role. He has experience as a motoring journalist.

The new Top Gear hits screens in May.
