If you’re walking by Connolly Station in Dublin any time soon, you may notice some familiar faces staring back at you.

Artist John Braine has painted two of the most loved characters in Irish TV – Father Ted and Father Dougal – onto two traffic boxes on Amiens Street – and he absolutely nailed both of their their expressions.

And it seems passers-by approve.

And Graham Linehan has also tweeted praise.

It’s all part of Dublin Canvas, a summer project run in conjunction with Dublin City Council that aims to liven up the everyday by painting traffic boxes with colourful and creative pieces by Irish artists.
