We're supporting The Blizzards' Trust Me I'm A Doctor Initiative

The past 18 months have seen our communities come together to support each other and collaborate in the most creative ways we could find in the most challenging times we could ever have imagined.

All throughout this pandemic, we have been protected, treated and healed by heroes and heroines on the front line, fighting to save lives whilst risking their own.

And in honour of these, as we gradually move away from the looming threat of the virus and towards a more protected nation, we couldn’t be more excited to bring to you the biggest collaboration of all.

The Blizzards have teamed up with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, coordinated and supported by Beat along with 2FM, Bauer Media Group, iRadio, and FM104 for a brand-new recording of their biggest hit Trust Me I’m A Doctor.

This collab came about to raise awareness and funding for Hero’s Aid, an incredible not-for-profit organisation providing access to a range of wellbeing services for front line workers, including a 24hr Freephone helpline, counselling services, online wellbeing support tools and specialist wellbeing information.

Other benefits, such as exclusive online offers for frontline healthcare workers and their families are being introduced with the relaunched Heroes Aid website.

In a moving show of solidarity to honour this vital support service for our determinedly dedicated front line workers, Trust Me I’m A Doctor will be played on every single radio station in Ireland at the exact same time, encouraging listeners to donate here or TEXT HERO to 50300.

The hope is that all radio stations will playlist this new orchestral version of the song as we collectively aim to raise awareness to front line workers that that Heroes Aid is available, and also raise enough funding to provide counselling and other types of practical support for our frontline healthcare heroes over the next two years.

Before we move on past this global catastrophe, now is the time to give back to the people who were there for us when we needed it most.

Collectively, The Blizzards, Beat, RTE 2FM, Bauer Media Group, iRadio, FM 104, Heroes Aid and GoFundMe are inviting you to get involved, to share ideas, mobilise your teams to get behind the initiative to help raise enough funding and awareness to fund 2 years of support for every front-line worker in the country. The song and campaign will launch on October 11th.
