The '2002' singer took to the stage at last night's awards ceremony to perform her hit songs of 2021, 'Kiss My (Uh-Oh)' and 'Don't Play' with KSI.

However, it wasn't plain sailing for the pop star, as when she was unveiled at the top of the stairs leading up to a giant heart, the singer caught her left ankle in the steps, causing her to trip and fall.

Anne-Marie proceeded to sing, get up and continue her performance of her song from her second album Therapy, in which fans and celebs alike praised the singer for carrying on in a professional manner.

Anne-Marie has since responded to the fail, tweeting a series of photos of memes and tweets that several people put out on social media last night.

BRITs twitter was both praising Anne-Marie for her recovery on stage and poking fun at the singer.

Someone even set up a Twitter account for her left ankle.

Other celebs and companies including Specsavers and the NHS in the UK joined in on the fun.

Adele was the big winner at last night's Brit Awards - picking up three prizes and performing to thousands of fans.

The north London star won best song for 'Easy On Me', '30' was named album of the year, and she also collected the new gender-neutral best artist award.

Sam Fender, Dave, Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish were among the other winners.
