Batgirl solo film scrapped, according to reports

Warner Brothers have reportedly scrapped its planned release of Batgirl later this year.

US media are reporting it's following the reaction of audiences during test screenings, and the studio has decided to shelve the production completely.

According to Discussing Film on Twitter, Warner Bros Discovery decided to cancel the release of โ€˜BATGIRLโ€™ as they are โ€œcommitted to making DC titles big theatrical event films, and โ€˜BATGIRLโ€™ isnโ€™t that.โ€

The movie was filmed in Glasgow at an estimated cost of around 70 million dollars and featured Michael Keaton as Batman and Leslie Grace as Batgirl.

Fans of the character and the DC Universe are outraged about the film getting the boot, with some saying it's "disgraceful" to up-and-coming actress Leslie Grace.
