Ed Sheeran wins High Court battle over his 2017 hit Shape of You

Ed Sheeran's celebrating winning a High Court copyright battle over his 2017 song 'Shape of You'.

A judge decided the singer didn't copy a track from two years earlier by grime artist Sami Switch.

Mr Justice Zacaroli says it's "not credible" Ed - along with co-writers Johnny McDaid and Steven McCutcheon - tried to get inspiration from other songs to come up with their number one.

The singer took to Instagram, sharing a video talking about he dealt with the lawsuit.
