A South East actress will be aiming for Golden Globe glory tonight.
Following her role in Brooklyn, Carlow's Saoirse Ronan will be aiming to secure the Best Actress in a Drama motion picture award.
Brooklyn has been in the news all week, after it was nominated for 6 BAFTA awards on Friday.
The film is partly set in Enniscorthy in County Wexford, and is an adaptaion of the novel written by Wexford author Colm Tobin.
