The game was re-released to keep up with next-gen consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One and this Spring the game wll hit the shelves again for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
According to Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S features new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options and ray-tracing, as well as offering the technical advancements of the latest console generation with faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, platform-specific features like advanced haptic feedback, and much more.
Players also got to journey back to the original 3D era games, with Rockstar releasing The Definitive Edition: Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy where the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were updated for a new generation with across-the-board enhancements including new lighting and environmental upgrades, with high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all-new levels of detail.
