John Mullane takes to the witness box for Austin Gleeson in hilarious skit

Granted - all's well now, but there was a stage when it was the topic of choice in Waterford - would Austin Gleeson be free to play in the All-Ireland final?

Thankfully, it all turned out for the better (for Waterford supporters, at least) - but not for the reason we were led to believe.

Footage obtained by the Gaelic Banter Page reveals that it wasn't referee James Owens' declaration that Gleeson was free to play that boosted Waterford All-Ireland chances, but a dramatic intervention by Waterford hurling legend, John Mullane.

With Ger Loughnane as presiding judge, Joe Brolly in defense and Des Cahill as witness - the decision could only be final...
