Kanye West asks Trump to be his 2024 running mate

And in today's strange Kanye West news...

Kanye West (now known as Ye) has asked former U.S. President Donald Trump to be his running mate for the presidency in 2024.

This week, the controversial rapper confirmed that he will be running for office in 2024 following his failed bid in 2020.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the 'Stronger' rapper claimed that he asked Trump to be his running mate. He maintained that he did so during a visit to the former president's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

He said: "First time at Mar-a-Lago, Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans... Yikes... What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?"

Underneath the tweet, he included a poll. It featured two options, "That’s very Ye" or "That’s very Nay". Right now, that poll stands at around 58% in favour of "That's very Ye".

All this comes following another admission earlier this week. Kanye claims he had recruited far-right controversial figure Milo Yiannopoulus as his campaign manager.

Like most things coming from 'Camp Kanye', we need to take all of this with a very large chunk of salt. The rapper has lost several brand collabs after making antisemitic remarks last month.

In the meantime, Trump announced last week that he will be running again (without Kanye) in 2024.
