Kid Cudi - the rapper who had a hit with the track Day 'N' Nite - is having treatment for depression and suicidal thoughts.
In a statement on Facebook he wrote: "I checked myself into rehab" because "I'm not at peace".
The 32-year-old's last album, 2015's 'Speedin' Bullet to Heaven' was widely panned by critics, topping several 'worst of' end-of-year album lists.
The announcement of a sixth studio LP in September featuring Pharrell Williams and Andre 3000 had dispelled rumors of drug abuse that surrounded the Ohio rapper in recent years.

The 32-year-old says his upcoming album, Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin', is still on track to come out this month, but that he'll step back from promoting it.
