Lightyear banned in 14 countries as Pixar flick includes same-sex relationship

It's reported the upcoming animated film "Lightyear" isn't going to be shown in 14 countries.

The Pixar flick will be released this Friday the 17th of June, starring Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear.

The film will not follow the 'toy' Buzz that we know and love, which was originally voiced by Tim Allen.

Instead, we'll see Chris Evans play the 'real-life' Buzz Lightyear who blasts off into infinity and beyond.

However, not every country will experience a theatre release with 14 countries banning the film.

The news agency Reuters has been told that figure after yesterday's decision in the United Arab Emirates to ban it.

It's because the movie includes a same-sex relationship and apparently violates the U-A-E’s media standards.
