Stranger Things actress Maya Hawke has said that she would love to do a Stranger Things spin-off series.

Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley in the hit Netflix series, told Rolling Stone magazine that she would love a spin-off series with her co-star Joe Keery (Steve Harrington).

Speaking about the possibility of her character dying in the next season of Stranger Things, Hawke commented "I really can't have Robin die, because I've been dreaming of a Nineties spin-off featuring her and Steve.

Robin and Steve become acquainted in season three of the show when they work together at Scoops Ahoy. Throughout seasons three and four their relationship turns from sarcastic to romantic and finally to platonic as the pair take on the challenges of the Upside Down.

Hawke imagines a spin-off series would follow Robin and Steve after their time in Hawkins, as they grow up together in New York.

She said that she pictures the pair  "partying in the clubs and figuring our s**t out".

Hawke went on to say she would not normally be for spin-offs but would jump at the chance to work with her co-star again. "He’s so funny and wonderful and smart. He’s an excellent coworker, and I would do anything with him."
