The OG reality show returns in 2023

He's always watching......

What a night for reality tv fans as one of the benchmarks for the television genre is set to make a comeback next year!

During last night's Love Island live final, ITV2 announced that Big Brother is returning in 2023.

The reality show, which debuted in 2000 hasn't been with us since it was axed in 2018 due to a lack of viewers.

However, absence makes the heart grow fonder, as ITV2 will revive the fan favourite show next year, set to bring back its famous house with a “contemporary new look”.

A promotional video for the new Big Brother was aired during the live final of Love Island and put out on social media.

ITV2 will be the new home for the show, as Channel 4 first aired the programme 22 years ago until Channel 5 took over in 2011. The revamped show can also be watched on the new streaming platform ITVX in 2023.

It's not known yet if Davina McCall will return to host the reality show and if a celebrity version of the show will also be made.

According to ITV2, "the housemates will be everyday people, not celebs, and there will be a brand new house in a UK location."
