Watch as Love Island reveals new host on TikTok

Love Island producers have cheekily revealed their new host on TikTok.

Maya Jama will take over from Laura Whitmore as she takes on the Winter Love Island in South Africa in early 2023.

On announcing the new role, the 28-year-old TV presenter shared a video of herself scrolling through stories about herself on various media outlets.

The same video was shared on the official Love Island TikTok shortly afterwards, posting: "Okay, the rumours are true Say hey to your brand-new #LoveIsland host @mayajama!"

Commenting on the new role Maya said: "I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the Villa to meet all of the Islanders."
