Seven years to the day his partner Mark asked him out in a tent at the Andy Warhol campsite, Sean decided to pop the question at this year’s Electric Picnic.
Wanting to make it special, he hatched a plan with his friend, Aoife who works with Sing-a-long Social.
During their set at the picnic, the conductor of the ‘choir of craic’ asked the hundreds of people in attendance to get down on one knee. She then asked anyone whose name was ‘Mark Taylor’ to stand up.
Once the man in question identified himself, she handed the microphone over to Sean.
“Will you please marry me? It’s been seven years,” he asked before the confetti cannons went off and it all got a tad emotional.
“The feelings of love was incredible. All I wanted to do was keep hugging him but everyone continued to congratulate us. It was truly amazing,” Sean said.
