Man bags €200,000 after Vegas slot machine didn't tell him he hit the jackpot

A gambler in the USA recently returned home from a holiday in Las Vegas unaware that he had won a massive €200,793 jackpot.*

Robert Taylor was none the wiser he was $220,000 the richer due to a communications error in the slot machine's software which prevented the Arizona man from knowing he had won the prize.

The computing error was not discovered until an audit was carried out by a communications technology expert.

The finding caused a huge headache for the casino in question, which didn't have a digital payment footprint to connect the gambler with the monies owed.

A two-week investigation followed in partnership with the casino and the Nevada Gaming Control Board who carried out several interviews, examined rideshare data and watched CCTV footage.

After an exhaustive two week investigation, the winner was successfully tracked down on January 28th.

He is due to collect his winnings in early February.
