Teenager involved in gruesome incident with USB cable (NSFW)

Warning, this next story might not be for the squeamish!

A teenager has had to have open surgery on his urethra, after inserting a USB cable into his penis.

The 15-year-old boy told doctors he had tried to satisfy his curiosity by inserting the cable inside his penis to measure its length in a case of 'sexual experimentation in a Urological journal.

The boy then tried to remove the cable, which had been cut in two sections, however as USB cables tend to do, it had knotted around the boy's urethra, causing serious trauma within his penis.

The boy then noticed blood when he next went to pee and was quickly rushed to the Emergency Department of his local hospital in London.

Following his request to be "examined without his mother", he confessed that he inserted the cable into his urethra to measure the length of his penis triggered by sexual curiosity.

However, doctors couldn't get a proper look at the offending area, with the knotted cable blocking attempts to perform an optical urethrotomy - a camera to you and I.

After being transferred to the Urology department, the boy was put under x-ray, which revealed this...

That meant surgery for the young chap - a longitudinal penoscrotal incision in medical speak - which allowed the doctors to access and remove the cable.

Thankfully his recovery was less complicated, and the young man *should* live to fight on, thanks to the fine craftsmanship of the doctors in University College Hospital London -  albeit with checkups after a 'cock-up' he'll never forget.

Urology Case Reports says that "Sexual experimentation and gratification, as well as underlying mental disorders, are considered the main causes of retained foreign bodies in the urethra and bladder".

The journal also reports that, while novel, a USB cable is certainly not the only thing that has been stuck up there for either sexual curiosity or even sexual pleasure, needles, pins, iron wires and even pistachio nut shells documented having been inserted into penises (penii?) over the years.

Stay safe out there folks...
