2 people have been arrested in Waterford city this morning in relation to terrorist offences.
A group suspected of being involved in International Terrorism was investigated during an operation conducted by Gardai earlier.
At 10.00am two people were arrested on suspicion of having committed offences under the C.J Terrorist Offences Act 2005.
A man and woman both in their twenties were arrested and their home was also searched under warrant.

The pair were taken to Waterford Garda Station and are detained under Sec 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The arrests are part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation.
