3 new fire stations for the South East

16 new fire stations will be built and another 10 refurbished over the next five years.

The programme will cost 40 million euro.

The new stations will be in a number of counties including Tipperary, Galway, Cork, Cavan and Meath.

Here in the region there'll be new stations build in  Cashel Co Tipperary, New Ross in Co Wexford, and Kilmacthomas in Co Waterford.

Refurbishments will be carried out in the station at Muine Bheag (Bagenalstown) in Co Carlow.
