Oscar hopes for Carlow and Wexford

Even though most people are sepculating whether this is the year Leonardo DiCaprio finally lands an Oscar after 8 nominations, all eyes in the South East will be on Carlow's Saoirse Ronan and Wexford based movie Brooklyn.

Saoirse's up for Best Actress in a Leading role while Brooklyn based on the book by Wexford author Colm Toibin is up for Best Picture.
