56 grams of Diamorphine was seized by Waterford Gardaí last night.
An off duty member of the Divisional Drugs Unit spotted a car that was known to him on the M9 motorway at around 7:40pm.
The vehicle was stopped at a Covid-19 checkpoint at the Grannagh Junction Roundabout a short time later.
Gardaí found the drugs hidden in the car and two men were arrested and brought to Waterford Garda Station where they remain in custody this morning.

The drugs have an estimated value of €7,840.
