A man in his 50s will appear in court in Waterford this morning following a crash in the city yesterday evening.
The collision happened when a van collided with a car after driving on the footpath across Rice Bridge shortly before 5 pm.
Five cars were damaged during the incident.
The man in his 50s was arrested at the scene for road traffic offences.

He'll appear before Waterford District Court this morning.
One person was taken to hospital as a precaution and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
