Biggest wave EVER recorded off Waterford coast during Ophelia

Storm Ophelia devasted thousands across the country when it hit on Monday.

The aftermath is still being felt as thousands are still without power today.

The sheer scale of the ex-hurricane was recorded by a weather buoy off the South East coast.

A single wave off Waterford reached 17.81m in height - that equates to almost the height of a six-storey building.
