"Seize the day" has been a poignant message shared by one couple attending Beat's Wedding Day Expo at S.E.T.U arena in Waterford today.

She and her fiancé Pat have decided to go ahead with their wedding which is planned for six weeks time.

Speaking to Beat News, Marie says the support has been overwhelming:

"We decided to go ahead because I'll be starting treatment soon and we just said we may as well do it now while I'm well enough and I can enjoy it."

"It's so overwhelming and it's just amazing how people come together for you in hard times."
