There have been reports of snow for Ireland over the coming days.

Forecaster with Met Eireann Deirdre Lowe explained the situation in the region to Beat News:

"The risk increases in Southern parts during Friday and Saturday.

We will have some troughs moving across the country.

They could bring some sleet and snow to your parts of the country as well - particularly I think at risk on Friday.

Aside from that daytime temperatures will be very low - into the low single figures.

Nights - freezing or below freezing - so icy stretches are going to be a problem on the roads."
