Burglars take 'small amount of petrol' from a Co. Carlow Golf Club

Two burglaries and an attempted break-in last Wednesday morning in Carlow are being investigated.

The first saw a door Borris Golf Club forced open to gain entry, with a hammer, screwdriver and a small amount of petrol were taken.

A second burglary saw two males in dark clothing enter a house after pretending to be Gardaí in the Browns Hill area of Carlow Town.

They stole a mobile phone after conducting a bogus search of the house.

While Gardaí in Bagnaelstown are investigating an attempted break-in at a commercial property in Market Square.

Two men wearing balaclavas were seen fleeing in a silver Audi A5 in the direction of Fenner Road.

However, Gardaí does not believe the three incidents are linked.
