A motorist has been arrested in Co. Waterford.
While on patrol, Gardaí in Roads Policing were operating a speed checkpoint on the Waterford By-Pass.
Officers detected the driver of a silver Mercedes-Benz travelling at 168 kilometres per hour in a 100 kilometres per hour zone.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving and court proceedings are to follow.
