€39m will be made available for the North Quays project in Waterford.
Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane confirmed the news to Déise Today on his local radio station, following a meeting with Minister Eoghan Murphy earlier.
The wait is now over for the allocation of funding for the project which is set to transform the quays in Waterford.
