GoFundMe for boy attacked by pitbull in Wexford surpasses €20,000

A Go Fund Me page set up for the young boy, who was attacked by a pit bull dog in the Enniscorthy area of Wexford on Sunday, has surpassed €20,000.

9-year-old Alejandro Mizsan was savagely attacked while playing with his friends close to his home in the afternoon of Sunday the 27th of November.

Alejandro's serious injuries have left him unable to eat or breathe independently.

He has no lower lip left and can't talk following the incident.

He is currently being treated for his injuries at Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin.

His family says he is not the same anymore and is lucky to be alive.

Their neighbour, Caroline Brien, launched an online fundraiser page for Alejandro.

She said she wanted to help him and his family and show them support in their 'long road ahead'.

"I am making this go fund me to donate anything to get this little boy his beautiful smile back and get him back home."

Over just over 24 hours, more than one thousand people have made a donation to the cause.
