A man has been treated in hospital following an alleged assault in Carlow Town last night.
It happened around midnight on Tullow Street where a man was approached by two men where they punched him in the back of the head.
The man was taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident e is asked to contact Carlow Garda Station.
