Its4Women initiatives raise over €70,000 for Breast Cancer Ireland

Breast Cancer Ireland is delighted to be the recipient of over €36,000 raised by insurance company, Its4Women.

This sizable donation is aimed to help the charity to continue its participation in world-wide clinical trials and will also help with the recruitment and retention of key research staff and allow investment in state of the art surgical equipment that will enhance a patient’s recovery time.

In all, Its4Women.ie has contributed over €70,000 to the charity in the past two years.

As well as being one of the sponsors of Breast Cancer Ireland’s Great Pink Run, Its4Women has also supported the charity through their ‘Words of Inspiration’ campaign which ran throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month and called on Irish women to share their experiences of breast cancer.

€4 for every story shared on their site went to the charity.

In addition, their association with Katie Taylor, where she promoted the fact that women purchasing its4women insurance were donating to Breast Cancer Ireland, helped raise awareness and funds.

CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland Aisling Hurley commented, “A massive thank you to Its4Women and the women of Ireland who have helped raise this substantial amount that significantly helps us to fulfil our mission of transforming breast cancer into a treatable illness that can be managed long-term”

Breast Cancer Ireland is a registered charity established to raise significant funding to support pioneering research programmes nationally, as well as to promote education and awareness on the importance of breast health among women of all ages.
