Over 13 thousand 500 students across the South East will be entering the exam halls for the first time this morning as the Leaving and Junior Certs get underway.
This morning, Leaving Cert students will have English Paper 1 before they tackle Home Economics in the afternoon.
While those sitting the Junior Cert have both English Paper 1 and Paper 2 today.
Claire O'Dowd of SpunOut dot ie has this advice for students ahead of the first exam this morning:
"If you can, try and get a good breakfast. I know it's tough to consume a lot of food when you're nervous but you'll feel better for it.
"When you do arrive at your exam hall, I think a good bit of advice would be to not engage in a group panic!
"We're all guilty of it but it can be a good idea if you can avoid that if you feel people are getting a bit panicky and take yourself away from that before the exam starts".
