Lifeguards at Tramore beach in Co. Waterford are advising people not to go swimming there this evening.
They say a serious rip current is after opening up making it dangeropus for swimmers.
Lifeguards have already had to make a number of rescues this afternoon.
Anyone heading to that beach is being urged to abide by the advice.
