No price increase expected on cigarettes and alcohol in the budget

The price of cigarettes and alcohol looks likely to remain the same after next month's budget.

While landlords are are expected to receive a range of tax relief supports, and renters a tax credit payment.

According to the Irish Times there's been significant pushback in relation to potentially increasing welfare payments.

Initially it was predicted they'd increase by an extra €15 in September's Budget.
