Tipp's Oakpark Foods secure €2m Aldi UK contract

Oakpark Foods in Tipperary have secured a €2m contract to supply its produce to Aldi UK.

Their maple back and honey back rashers will be exclusively for sale in 700 of their stores.

The new partnership will support the creation of 20 new jobs at the Oakpark Foods pork and bacon plant in Cahir.

They've been supplying food to Aldi Stores in Ireland since 2012.

Part of the Brett Group, it now employs almost 100 full-time staff.

Other Aldi suppliers such as ABP, Glenpatrick Spring Water and Irish Dog Foods have also accessed new markets via Aldi's worldwide store network.

In 2016, Aldi spent more than €700m with Irish producers, manufacturers and suppliers.

Commenting on the new contract with Aldi UK, John Brett, Account Manager at Oakpark Foods stated:
