One of Ireland's best-loved music festivals is moving to the South East

One of Ireland's best-loved music & arts festivals, B.A.R.E. in the Woods, is moving to Carlow for 2018.

Now titled BARE, the boutique festival is set to move from its old home in Portarlington, Co. Laois to Carlow's Borris House.

In 2017, the homegrown event took the Best One Day Festival gong at the Irish Festival Awards - its second award in as many years.

Last year also saw the festival expand to a three-day event with headliners Kiezsa, House of Pain, Mike Skinner & The Rubberbandits set to perform.

Despite the expansion, the event was cancelled weeks before it was due to take place over issues surrounding "licencing conditions".

Posting to social media yesterday, event organisers said, "Following three sold-out years, numerous national awards and one Annus horribilis, we are back at it again in our new stately home of Borris House... What do ye think of our new digs?"

We'll let you know as soon as we hear word on the line-up...

Tickets are now on sale for the two-day event, which runs from July 6th to 7th, 2018.
