Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run in County Wexford

A man's been seriously injured in a hit-and-run in County Wexford.

The pedestrian, in his early 20s, was found on the side of the road at Ballydermot on Arklow Road in Gorey at around half 2 this morning.

The car failed to stop at the scene and he received serious head injuries.

The man has been brought to St. Vincent's Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a serious condition.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
