Power cuts could've caused Carlow people to miss McGregor fight

Planned ESB power cuts could've caused a rumble for people in Carlow looking to watch the McGregor fight.

Just under 3,500 people in the Carlow/Bagnelstown area were notified about a cut between 2 AM and 5 AM on Sunday morning.

ESB said in a statement: "Approximately 3,425 ESB Networks customers in Carlow/Bagnalstown areas have been notified of essential maintenance to take place on Sunday 27 August, resulting in loss of electricity supply from around 2am until 5am.

"This will now NOT go ahead. Instead ESB Networks have now rescheduled this outage to Saturday 26 August from 2am until 5am.
