Retail giant set to open in Waterford City's largest vacant retail space

Home Store & More, one of Ireland's largest homeware retailers, is to set up shop on the former-site of Waterford's now defunct B&Q.

Between 20 and 25 people are set to be employed by the opening of what will be the company's 19th outlet.

The Butlerstown Retail Park lot had been vacant since early 2012 when a restructuring programmme forced the closure of B&Q Waterford - leading to the loss of 47 jobs.

Speaking to Beat 102-103, Guy Palmer of Palmer Auctioneers, who advised on the store's location, stated that the outlet had been already been fitted and is set to be stocked within the following week.
