The missing person appeal for an 87 year old woman has been stood down.
It follows the discovery of a woman's body earlier this morning (Sunday) in Carlow.
Sheila Rice went missing in Carlow on Saturday afternoon. Searches were carried out when she had last been seen near Athy Road in the town shortly before 4pm.
Investigations are ongoing.
