Search for missing Waterford man stood down following discovery of body

The search for a Waterford man has been stood down following the discovery of a body.

40-year-old Phillip Quigley had been reported missing from his home in Ferrybank, Waterford almost two weeks ago.

However, Gardai issued a statement earlier saying there would be no further investigations after the man's body had been found yesterday afternoon.

The statement reads: "Following the discovery of a body of a male in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny on Monday the 18th of July", the search for Phillip has been stood down."
