Emergency services are conducting a search of the River Nore in Kilkenny after Gardai received reports of a missing person overnight.
Rescue 117 was immediately dispatched, along with Civil Defence, Fire service, Gardaí and an ambulance.
The person was reported missing at 1am and a search a of the River Nore began at Johns Bridge for a number of hours.
The search has since resumed with the assistance of Rescue 117.
