Storm Barra has seen severe winds and heavy rain continue to batter the country overnight.

A yellow wind warning is in place for the entire South East until this evening.

Tens of thousands of homes and businesses also remain without power, including thousands in the South East.

Wexford appears to be the worst affected county in the region in terms of power outages, with a cluster of faults in the county.

Spokesperson for ESB Networks, Siobhan Wynne, says crews are resuming work this morning to restore services:
